know this a bit late in the game, but I wanted to extend to everyone that will be in the Hollywood area in preps for the "Family Jamm" to come by "Micky's" in West Hollywood as DJ Matisse (yours truly) will be spinning the best remixes and playing lots of music videos that will span the career of Prince as well as many he's produced and wrote for along with other "Minneapolis Sound" jams by Jam & Lewis & Andre Cymone. Examples of videos and music played are: Prince (of course), The Time, Sheila E., Carmen Electra, Vanity 6, Apollonia 6, The Family, Mazarati, Jill Jones, Jesse Johnson, Andre Cymone, Wendy & Lisa, The Revolution (with Prince), Alexander O'Neal, Ingrid Chavez, Sheena Easton, Martika, Rosie Gaines, Taja Seville, Ta Mara and The Seen, Madhouse, Morris Day, Cherrelle, SOS Band, Tevin Campbell, Janet Jackson, Jody Watley, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Apollonia, Vanity, Herb Alpert, Brownmark, NPG.

There is a parking lot across Santa Monica Blvd (south) on San Vicente as well as plenty of street parking. Pay attention to the signs for any restricted areas.
The original time for this event was 4-9pm but due to the 'El Torito' get together at 8pm, I'm pushing this event up an hour to 3pm to accomodate anyone who wants to do both! This 'Happy Hour' will be the bomb in music and video from the "Minneapolis Sound" era and beeyond. There will also be other music videos played that are NOT Prince related, but will be in a cool, funky and dance mode and will mix in perfectly with all the Prince and associated stuff. I would say the mix will be 80% Prince and associated and 20% non-Prince related. Requests are welcome as I will have almost everything with me!
Since it is a 'Happy Hour', look for outstanding drink specials as well as a free buffet between 5:30 - 7:30pm. There is also an outdoor patio that is open to the street and is great for loungin' and for all you smokers. I know this a last minute announcement, but I wanted to give something back and since I DJ at this great club/bar 'Micky's', why not. Get back to me if you want a dance floor or not. They have a dance floor but don't normally open it until later. If enough people want it opened, I can make it happen with lights and all! Peace!
