OH wow. I had no idea this would go on so long... I posted the pictures planning to let it stew for a day, but then, hey wow, my wife's water broke and so I had a baby boy! Well. She did.

YES. THIS CAMERA STORY IS A HOAX!! PSYCHE!!

There. Hope that clears it all up. I haven't had time to read all the posts, but it's been fun reading the drama. The photos were taken by someone else who posted the exact same message on another forum. The response was so awesome, it spawned about 10 similar posts in other forums, like this one. It just took you guys TOO LONG to see the heebee jeebees in the pics!

by the way, the boy is fine - Troy Porter Hall - born yesterday morning, 6lbs 13oz. He was 3 weeks early, so he's skinny but tall. The wife comes home tomorrow.

I hope you all enjoyed the prank. I've been meaning to put together a "PRANK!" prince image for the photoshop challenge and then use it here as well, but, hell, I was BUSY DAMMIT!

Last week I drove to a nearby town. The town is surrounded by tall hills and mountains, and you can have a very pleasant hike down any of the numerous trails there. Anyway, I was climbing one trail and enjoying the good weather when I saw what looked like a silver box. When I approached, I saw it was a digital camera!

It's a 3.3 mpixel powershot S20! Slightly scuffed, but otherwise fine. It rained the next day, so I was really lucky to get there when I did. When I got home, I also saw it had a 300 mb hard drive inside! This is like a 300 dollar value folks, I pity the fool who dropped it so carelessly. Anyway, just wanted to share. It also had some nice pictures on it, and I'm putting those up in this thread, hence the photos tag.

Seriously, suppose something happened to the person that took those pictures. Maybe they were trying to leave clues behind so someone could find them. Who would leave a camera like that behind, or be that careless.

U best go to the police on this one... and do as I said check the date of the film and tell the police the date these were taken to see if anybody is missing...

A SCUFFED picture and the previous pictures look like somebody is running... which says 2 me... SOMETHING aint right...

at first they looked a little creepy, but cool... Then someone mentioned the figures, and I was like (yea right) someone edited them. But then looking at the originals it's true, there are figures. The figure through the mirror is the most disturbing, the others look more like inserts.

Mia's right, they do tell a story, I didn't even notice this. it's either a very cool prank or creepy as hell. I wouldn't go back to those f-ing woods ever again.

I like this picture the best, but I also like the pictures of the woods where there is fog all around. I didn't notice the figures in a few of the pix until someone mentioned them - yikes! The pictures of that old building kinda creeped me out. Like someone mentioned earlier, it was very much like The Blair Witch Project movie. The link that Otan posted above tells the history of the building that is in these pictures. Very interesting!

Ok, it could have been 2 people taking a hike together, one person taking the pics. I looks like they are more documenting their journey than just sight-seeing and taking pictures. The ones of the gates and fences with the hands, look to me like these people were trying to create a time line of sorts. The image in the mirror is creepy as hell. Maybe they were trying to create a Blair Witch scenario for fun to show their friends? I can't imagine this being a joke for whoever happens to find this somewhat expensive camera...

Ok, wait a minute, is that a person sleeping on the rocks? Maybe these fools were camping out and they left the camera behind. Maybe... I hope that's just it. Otherwise I'm gonna have nightmares...

No person there Vina.... the shape of the rocks in the upper right part of the picture does look like a naked person in the fetal position though... this whole situation is giving me the creeps...I think that camera is haunted...throw it back in the woods!!!!
