Here's the deal. I'm male, stand at 190cm (6'3"), and weigh 80kg, and would like to add 10kg by the years end. I understand that I have a high metabolism because I eat a reasonable amount of food yet remain too damn lean -- nothing shows! mad

Well, damn, wish I had this problem. I just LOOK at or SMELL fattening food, and I swear, I gain weight. It's disgusting. mad
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Good luck to you with your situation. I too have always been underweight and have a heckuva time putting on/keeping on weight.

I agree with the suggestion regarding the Ensure drinks or something similar to them. I've used them before and they do seem to help.

Of course there's always Ben & Jerry's ice cream! drool One summer years ago I gained a few lbs by shoving that in my face on a regular basis. biggrin

Hotlegs

You may want to eat more carbohydrates and starches. The following food items will help you to achieve your goals: donut, cookie, cheese, mac'n'cheese
beans, hotdog , and pretzel .

I used to have the same problem. Even followed a dietician's
instructions and ate more than 8000 Kcal each day for a month
and only gained 3 kilograms which I lost when I ate regular
for only TWO days!!

I've been 183 mtrs and 115-120 pounds for years now.

But I was also always very much stressed and I did smoke. I
smoked very little in the beginning but once I noticed that
I could not gain weight at all and somehow strangely did not
lose any weight below 115 pounds either I started smoking so
much that I would hardly eat at all during the day.

Now, I've finally found the peace and calm to quit smoking
WITHOUT any gums or patches or stuff. I've also finally been
able to sustain my cool in most any situation. I've decided
that stress can no longer dominate my life the way it has
been doing all these years.

I've only been doing this for THREE WEEKS now and it has
worked absolute wonders.

In those three weeks my skin has cleared up enormously, and
I'm hungry like a dinosaur. I eat and eat and eat and eat,
all day and sometimes even wake up in the middle of the night
and just have to have a few cookies and a glass of milk

smile

I've actually gained TWENTY POUNDS in those 3 weeks. And that
makes me very very happy.

For the first time in ages I'm no longer able to see my ribs
protruding when I look in the mirror. And -whoot- I finally
went and grew myself an ass LOL.

Anywayz. I don't know what your problem is for not putting on
weight but I can tell you that I know how hard it is and how
little support people give you simply because this is an issue
that society has completely overlooked until now.

Every single day you are literally drowning in headlines and
tv programms about being overweight and perhaps only once or
twice a year someone spends some attention to being underweight.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
