So, I have met an Elvis impersonator...

I'm quite the Elvis fan. A couple of days ago, my latest Elvis purchase of a really cool shirt with him doing his Hawaiian concert came in, and because it's so incredibly awesome, I wore it yesterday when I went out shopping.

I got loads of attention from various Elvis fans, but the best came when I stopped in Sam Goody to see if I could find any music I desired. I ended up picking up a Dwight Yoakam cd, and a shirt with Cartman on it reading, "Screw you, hippies" which is a gift for my ex/current on our date on Sunday, and an Interpol shirt for myself.

I'm going to check out with all my stuff, and this big tall guy walks up, and shoves an ELVIS magazine in my face, to which I say, "Wow, that's SPANK material!" I, of course, bought it in the end.

Come to find out, this guy is an Elvis impersonator, and slips me his number if I ever need someone to sing Elvis at a party or something. He gave me a private show right in the middle of Sam Good, going all wild singing "Love Me Tender" and all sorts. Pretty much anything I asked for. It was awesome.

So, since the ex/current is an Elvis fan, I've employed the services of Mr. Preston (yes, he's halfway there) to come to Miyako Sushi in Lexington tomorrow night, and perform Elvis for my ex/current. Just a couple of songs... I think I'll have him do "Loving You" and perhaps "Fame and Fortune." Nice mushy songs for a mushy reconciliation occasion.

N. will fucking love it. The guy was awesome.
