Firstly, may God look after all those who've perished, who were injured and who are still missing in the cold blooded heinous attacks on London and it's people.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected and their loved ones.

Secondly, I'm fine. Thank you. Despite hailing from London where most of my family live and all the time I spend in that city with them and friends, I actually currently reside in the north.

I'm so terribly sorry for any worry or concern that I may have caused by not logging on sooner. During the passing hours and days after those appaling acts I was overwhelmed with shock and anger and desperate to contact my family and friends. Everything also coincide with a couple of expectionally busy days that were scheduled as well. However, I did manage to get in touch with TheFrog on Friday morning and I thank him for posting of my safety. I briefly logged onto the Org Friday afternoon but my internet connection caved in after literally minutes.

I'm truely and deeply moved by the love and solidarity shown towards ALL affected Org.ers by everyone on this special website. The genuineness of people's affection, compassion and empathy have swelled my eyes to tears, something that has never happened to me on here.

I still pray that everyone is accounted for and remains safe.
God bless the heroics and professionalism of our emergency services... and all those citizens who became heros and professionals themselves that day in the face of terror.

LONDON, STAND UP TALL.

some people got up and openly moved to a different carriage this morning when a south asian man got on. It was a really uncomfortable atmosphere. I felt really bad for the guy.

I even got some bad looks myself, because i was carrying a rucksack.

And then to come out at King's Cross to be greeted with shit loads of cameramen, shit loads of "have you seen this person?" posters, and shit loads of flower tributes...such an odd journey.

i agree totally that people shouldn't be expected to just bounce back. It's one thing to say "we have to stick two fingers up to terrorism and the best way of doing that is to carry on as normal." well, maybe for some, but for others, sometimes the best way of getting into cold water is to ease yourself in slowly. And there are a lot of grieving people who deserve respect.

sigh

I know what you guys mean - when I got on the tube with my partner early friday morning, this woman opposite us was eyeing our bags suspiciously. I just smiled at her and rested my head on his shoulder. What else can you do, y'know? There's definately an underlying sense of unease - and quite rightly, today of all days was probably going to be the hardest for people post 7/7 due to the influx of people coming back into the city.

My ex tutor who lives in Kings Cross said he was fine until saturday morning when he walked past the tube station, and before he even got there could SMELL the flowers. He said it was that point where he just suddenly started crying.

It affects us all in different ways, I guess talking about it is the best thing we can do right now.

It was nice to meet u on wednesday Adam, as it was Milty, Kat et all - as I mentioned to Froggy recently, I was sat there with a lump in my throat looking around the table thinking...these are all such lovely people. It makes me proud to know I have people like Jon, Nat etc in my life. Hope to meet u all again soon.

'nana x

It was so nice to meet you guys too and it always surprises me when I come to meetups etc how quickly people bond and get chatting about randomness, it was so saddening to wake up to Thursday mornings events. I am still walking home from work, only an hour, but I don't feel comfortable on the tube and it is actually refreshing to do this. When something so crazy happens in the place you have always lived and always felt safe and protected it makes you feel vunerable and helpless. But when you think of all the positive things about London and its community I realise that this is not the time for packing up my bags and running away from terrorists etc. More of a time of reflection and hope and the whole' getting on with it', although I do feel a bit guilty when I am prancing around enjoying sunshine and suddenly remember the 50 or so innocent pepole that are not doing the same

I saw on the news today about the bombers being traced to their hometowns in Leeds and the shock of their neighbours who described these young men as being from normal happy homes. I can't understand how you programme so much hate into someone who has grown up with friends of different background and beliefs to then sacrifice their own life in such a horrific way I really don't sigh

AhhhShit, I am so sorry mate, thats simply awful. Since last week I have been going over the "what iffs" a lot, but the one weak (and somewhat selfish) consolation is that at least it affected nobody I knew. Please send on my (our) condolences to your friends fiance. Keep your chin up.

I didn't want to include this with the main post for various reasons, but felt it was worth mentioning here - and will open a new thread specifically regarding this too... but there is a website that went live the past couple of days called WereNOtAfraid.com - I think it's a great idea, and sends out a positive, unifying message.

I thought it may be a good way for those who wish to do so to work through a few things by submitting their work to the following thread:
http://www.prince.org/msg/100/153079

I hope you'll agree.

thanx 4 editing the pix, it's hard not 2 b afraid when u have 2 keep on looking at those pix and u have 2 travel back 2 and thru london via train, tube and bus

i was in the same spot at kings x in london at the same time on sunday, only 4 days b4, and i have 2 go back down in a couple of months. it's put me off coming down 4 the clinton gig next week

what a crazy week full of amazing hi's and terrible lows, there were riots in the streets i travel 2 work in edinburgh, even in the street outside my office, trying 2 get in2 1 of our properties, and all these low's carried out by ppl born and bred in this country

and 2 the person who edited my original post, i hope u can live with ureself 4 that heartless and unfeeling action. i'm glad the others choose 2 take good taste in2 thier own hands

1) You shouldn't presume - I had that post lifted. It was OTT and uncalled for, hence why it was removed. If you had been patient, you would have found that the photos along with the information was constantly being updated - I didn't put it up there to offend you, or anyone else for that matter. I put it up there so Orgers around the world were kept informed and up to date as best as possible. It certainly didn't come down because of you, trust me on that. If you have any beef with that, I suggest you org note me. But im appealing to your better nature that we shouldn't even have to go there.

2) If you don't come down for the Clinton gig you're not only losing out, but you're doing exactly what they want. Do you want to do what they want?

3) Not that it's a competition or anything, but many people, including myself, were a lot closer than yourself to the actual events of that day, and all of us im sure could only wish we had the distance and luck that you had. We're certainly not going to let people like that rule our lives - neither should you.

4) Go to the gig!

5) Go to the gig!!

This thread will be locked up by the weekend, and we'll all move on.

Because the world doesn't stop - at least not for long, and that is what we do.

i didnt say or suggest or even think u did delete it, so i have no problems with u whatsoever but at the same time, if some1 had a problem with it they couldve orgnoted me and discussed it, altho i didnt think it was ott compared 2 the images posted, thats just a matter of opinion. look 2 posts above this and some1 is saying they cant even look at the current pix

after everything that happened in that week, the last thing u wanna do is come on a prince site and get all them images thrust back in2 ure face b4 u go 2 bed or when u wake up in the morning. like i said, there was enuff news items posting those images and what happened, i dont think we really needed a blow by blow account 2 remind us, links 2 the news instead wouldve been better i thought. after 911 folks werent posting pix of the plane crashing in2 the tower online

it just seemed 2 me that unintentionally some of the remarks, but moreso pix posted were just adding 2 the scare tactics by the terrorists and werent helping, so i asked politely 2 appeal 2 ppls better judgement and remove them and my post was removed without warning or discussion by someone who didnt even have the manners 2 mention a thing about it. i'm sure if any1 was asked nicely 2 edit or remove anything on a thread of this nature if it was offending any1 they would do so. it was just plain rude and upsetting 4 that person 2 do so without thought of what i was feeling at the time of posting. removing that post just made me feel like complete shit after feeling low in the 1st place

Well, you were certainly offered the opportunity to discuss this further via org note, you've made your own bed here im afraid. Certainly can't see any connection whatsoever with what any of this has to do with Live8 for a start...
