yet ANOTHER horror film remake--john carpenter's the fog

coming on the heels of dawn of the dead, house of wax and texas chainsaw massacre..here comes the fog on oct 14... i love the original..it wasn't particularly gory...actually rather mild for an "r" rating..but the new one is pg-13..so of course that means implied horror and blood.

i wish they would make those good unrated horror films like back in the 80's--gates of hell, re-animator, zombie--fuck the kids--make a good scary nasty ass horror film for grown folks! mad (yeah yeah..they're trying to make money..but these pg-13 movies are so fucking lame it's scary ha ha)

you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

The original was good enough. Directors are just gettin' lazy these days remakin' movies that don't really need to be remade. And yeah they do need to bring back slasher films. They're ridin' this supernatural trend out a little too much. I like the plot filled horrors just as much as the next person, but it's getting pretty played out.....switch it up a little.

All I know is, the day they remake Halloween, I'm gonna go postal! Some of these flicks I don't mind (Jackson's King Kong looks killer), but the vast majority were near-perfect to begin with! Do we need an Evil Dead remake? Hell NO! Do we need a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Of course not!

Carpenter's original film is quite good. Not his best, but it certainly doesn't need a remake. Still, it doesn't bother me the way a remake of a classic like TCM did.

Well, The Blair Witch Project sure ripped it off quite a bit.
