HELP Does anyone here know anything about alcohol poisoning

I realise this is offtopic but i feel it an emergency -- a friend of mine is on the phone who has drunk an entire 6pack and a bottle of wine, is totally smashed and slurring hardcore. i heard him throw up heavily, his family is out of town and he's desperately lonely. what should i tell him to do? i told him to stay put and drink lots of water....

Usually a 6pack & a bottle of wine will not induce alcohol poisoning. That would have his blood alcohol content at about .9, alcohol poisoning usually doesn't set in until u reach the 1.5 level. Tell him to throw up if possible, take 3 advil & drink a bottle of water, he'll feel like shit in the morning but he'll be ok.

are you talking about MrSquiggle or the friend? he turned 15 a few months ago so I'm guessing the friend is roughly the same age nod

and I have to add that he's not your average 15 year old, either... some of my family met him before I flew out from Australia and were blown away when I told them how old he was nod

That's some scary shit. Plus they're underage, so less willing to call for help for fear of repercussion. They need some kinda charcoal home kit.

this person is right. I know, I have drank that "too much" to get the alcohol poisoning before. It requires hard alcohol and lots of it.

If he vomited, that's a good and natural thing. He's mostlikely feeling sick because he mixed the drinks.

Every now and again I will drink a bottle of wine. I wouldn't throw beer on top of it. But it could be done.

4 future reference, if some1 has had a bit 2 much 2 drink and passes out, always make sure to leave them on their side. If some1 has passed out and is cold or completely non-responsive, call the paramedics straight away.

NO ADVIL! Advil/Tylenol type products should not be mixed with alcohol because it has been known to cause liver failure in certain people.

Hope your friend feels better in the morning hug

18, actually. man, i had a helluva night. vomiting, he gasped "call an ambulance" at about 2am, i did so immediately and dashed over to his place with dad. i spent the night at his looking after him and making sure everything was alright. while drunk he revealed to me something very painful i didn't know about my ex-girlfriend, who i thought loved me. so there i was, sitting alone in the dark at 2am with a friend i've known closely for 8 years in a state i've never seen him, having just found out that the only girl i ever loved had been plotting against me for some time.

i am never touching alcohol. ever. i don't want somebody mopping up my vomit.
