So I'm taking PRednisone, righT?

Anyone who cares about me and has read the thread about my hospital stay probably already knows that.

SOOOO..... when i got the PREDNISONE prescription the doctor told me it's a steroid. i'm only taking it for TEN DAYS, in tapering dosage. the PHARMACIST said that this affects different people in different ways. she said some people can't sleep with it, may have MOOD swings, be really intensely happy or really intensely sad, be tired all the time, or some other weird stuff. i was like "OK".

sooooo.... i took the prednisone, and it seemed to be working. the chest pains started going away, and i'm thinking "yippee!! the inflammation in my pericardium must be easing off!!"

except that now i'm HYPER!!!! i started talking A MILE A MINUTE!!! and i feel tired, but i can't sleep.

i need that little emoticon dude that runs back and forth yelling "woo hoo!!"

i drove my family all the way home from michigan (850 miles) in one shot on that stuff, it ROCKS

get everything done around your house that you can, when you are off them, its over... in fact, you'll feel a bit tired so take advantage

steroids make me angry and give me mood swings....Now some good ol fashion uppers in various forms...no we are talking...happy as a clam in a clam bake.

Ok here is what you do....go into the bathroom, get your schwag and take it with you already prepared to blaze...turn on the shower like you are going to take a shower but don't really. Find an empty toilet paper roll or something similar to it and put a scented dryer sheet on one end and secure it tightly with a rubber band, I always use 2 for good measure. Then light it inhale and blow the smoke through the end of the toilet paper roll so it comes through the end with the scented dryer sheet on it.

This always worked for me in high school and college...my parents and roommates never caugh on, they just though I like to be extra clean...

i don't smoke. i don't do any drugs. i barely even drink. (though, when i drink i can DEFINITELY hold my own! )

so, i went to walmart tonight, trippin on prednisone. went with my sister and my daughter who is three. we were walking the aisles and my girl was SOOOO CUTE!!!! her tia (aunt) told her to say "hey mommy, you're a freak" so we were walking up and down the aisles going back and forth "no, i'm not a freak. tia's a freak" "tia is not a freak, i am not a freak, you are a freak" "am i a freak?? i don't think so!! you're a freak!" we was having fun!!

i also got some foster's, b/c i haven't tried that before. (don't worry, i'm not going to drink it now!!) and i got some bacardi silver, O3. i got some chocolate covered espresso beans. (again, not going to eat them tonight) and some chicken breasts! some other stuff in there too . . .

I've taken Prednisone in decreasing doses several times for athsma flare ups.

That stuff is golden, usually! Knocks the symptoms out fast.

...But it makes me irritable, achy in the extremities, a little sleepless and it decreases my sexual sensitivity. (I hope that's not TMO.)
