I just came back from the hospital and I can't stop crying.

Early this morning I was going to Oporto on the freeway and I had an acident. Two car on the same lane I was going had an acident. It was raining alot, and I did not have to time to stop my car. Needless to say that my car's front is completeluy ruined and it's just scrap.

Thankfully I only broke my nose (my car is an old Lancia Y10 and since it's an old model, it doesn't have an airbag...).

I really don't know what to make of my life. My car, that I bought used, was my way of independence and I used it to go to work. I was still paying it to my parents the money they loaned me to pay for it. I feel that my life was gonna backwards...

Now I have to wait until monday to see if I have to get an operation on my nose. The doctor could not see much, apart from the x-ray, because my face is so swalloed.

Sorry for exposing this, but I had to talk about this. This is the place I hang out the most and were I have made some good friends

I still in panic...

I was almost incarcerated on the car....my noose was aching alot. the other people
that were near did not help....I don't know where I got the strength to get out of the car

Don't worry too much about the car. You can always get another. Just be thankful all you got out of it was a broken nose. Things'll be fine.

Eventually the finances will come together again. Its all part of lifes journey and an experiance that you share with others and adds wisdom to you.

try to stay calm and positive, it sounds like youre in shock, which is much more complex than the overused word it looks like.

Aww that sucks . Sure it's annoying that you crashed the car, but the most important thing is that you (or anyone else) are not seriouly hurt . I think you are still under shock, car accidents are very frightening. I was afraid to drive in a car on higher speed for some time after I had one that was not even bad.

Hope you're okay. Car accidents are a big trauma, it takes time to heal emotionally as well as physically.

Well I've managed to finally get a meal and I'm now going to try to get some rest.

I'm now aplying some ice on the swallowed area...

That must have been very scary. I'm glad you survived! Can you call a friend or family member to come by to keep you company?

My mom came to the hospital and was there all the time. Now I'm at home with my little sister.

My family has major flaws, but during these kind of situations it works very well.

any accident i have been in i have been alone on the road so there was no other chaos of other vehicles.

I look like my face is Mike Tysons! I had some stitches done and the anesthesia is wearing so I'm starting to feel some pain...



The doctor said it will hurt alot in a few hour.

My step father still can't believe on own I survive almost alive.

Strangely I can't get out of my mind the moment of the impact and my face hitting the steering wheel...this is so fucked up!

Glad to hear you are OK! I think you are just still in shock over the accident. Accidents have a way of jolting you out of where you think your life might be headed. Try not to dwell on it too much, as others havementioned here, it could have been worse. And things will work out they always do.

Try and take it easy and rest and relax!
