Do you need hardware or software?...under Vista go into Programs and then Accesories then System Tools then into Windows Easy Transfer.

Thats an A-B USB cable. Depending on your connectors you need an A-A cable.

hint: hem and haw about it and ask them to throw in a cable or two and see if they'll do it. sometimes they will, sometimes they won't.

Well since you are currently the sweatheart of the org (and loved by many orgers...or at least they told me), here's my answer:

ever heard of buying something and paying it in 12 months (each month, a payment!)

well, ever hear of taking the answer people have given you several times (get an A/A usb cable) and doing it instead of asking the same thing over and over and over when it's already been answered?

Aw SNAP ma!

Seriously though, put all your media stuff on an external hard drive. That way, you won't have to worry about losing anything and if you ever have to get a new computer, transferring will be as easy as plugging the drive in. I just had to buy a new computer and I was thankful for having that ext. hard drive!

While we're on the topic...

My mother's about to buy a PC with Vista. I'm on XP. Will there be any problem with me using something like Remote Desktop or logmein.com to access her computer?
