It's really sad. My kids probably will bring home much less candy this year, not only because of foreclosed homes, but because people have no money to buy candy. Looks like many folks will be tricked this year.

I don't know yet how it is in this area, but in the city I'd been living in before, hardly anyone let their kids go out on Halloween. It wouldn't have mattered if there were only half the houses to go to, since kids didn't trick or treat. Instead parents put every effort into sucking all the joy and fun out of the day by corralling their kids into lame "harvest parties".

I really hope that's not the case here.

It's not that The Joker's gay. What he is, is Batsexual. He'd be whacking it to Batsy whether our hero had girl parts or boy parts underneath that rubber.

What? Candy for kids??? Sheesh forget candy. They may have to turn Halloween into "Give a Care Package to an American Day" and donate can foods to American families. Especially with the high price of food in the supermarkets these days who could pay for bags of candy to give away?

Give the little kiddies pennies for their piggy banks, seeing how the economy is going;and give them an apple to keep the doctor away, since mom and dad probably can't afford to take them to the doctor if they get sick, with the high cost of health insurance and all, Okay, so those last couple of lines was kind of harsh.. ...

And very sad too. Those signs are making a big appearance in these neck of the woods. Not quite THAT bad, but still unusually so. I think only 2 of us on my street are giving out candy this year, we'll see how it goes.
