Question about Chicago- Allstate setup.

For those that went to the show last night. How many rows would you say are on the floor? And did anyone sit in sections 1, 2, 11, or 12? Trying to get an idea on the view.
Thanks

sat in row three of section ten. i was worried because of how close it was to the stage and how tall the stage was, etc. but they ended up being awesome seats. dont know how many rows there are, its rectangular on the floor and not square (like a basketball court) so there are more rows on some sides than others. the floor was pretty room, not as many people on the floor as i thought there would be. section 11 is probably pretty good. although i am not sure.

I was in row three of section 1 and it was unbelievable! Yeah...you worry at first that the stage is too high in front of you, but it was great.

Excellent. I will also be in Section 1, and I was wondering what the view was like from there. (But to be honest, I am super spoiled from being right at his feet at the aftershow-I don't even know if first row would be good enough after that! lol )
Thanks!

I was in Section 8 Row one... BRING EAR PLUGS just in case you feel uncomfortable! Cuz I sat directly in front of 'back of john blackwell'. Basically 70% of the sounds I heard were nothing but drums pounding hard enough for the entire arena to hear.

We were in Section 1 Row 4... Veiw was ok when Prince was on Part of the stage.. but it was a bit hard to see when he was in certain area's of the stage.. but it was still really good.... you had the video screen to watch too.

Onion...you must have been right behind me!

Yeah...I agree with the comment about bringing earplugs. Don't be proud. It was EXCESSIVELY loud...like permanent damage loud in there. I kept leaning over to my wife and screaming, "if I suffer permanent hearing loss for this, then it will be worth it." But I'll be bringing some plugs for the other shows just in case. I may not need them since last night was my best seats, but we'll have them handy just in case.

It's okay, I am willing to risk a little permanent ear damage! smile (j/k) My seats are Section 1 Row 9, and from what you guys are telling me, it seems that I'll be far back enough to get a better view of more of the stage. Does that sound right?

You WILL have a good view of the stage.. and when Prince comes to the one side you can see him very well.... and you have a nice view of the video screen.. but there ARE going to be some times when you will lose site of
"The Man" but just check out the video screen. wink HAVE FUN!

Orion....we were in row 3 seats 3 and 4!

Yeah...my neck hurt from trying to look at that screen. Fortunately, we didn't have to all that much...our seats were too good.

I'm not going tonight, but I'm going Monday and Tuesday. I don't have as good of seats for those shows...just happy to be there. I'd love to meet you and say hi though. Maybe we'll figure something out.

I Was in SECTION 2-ROW 4, CHICAGO 6/25!!! Seats were great!! A perfect view of Prince and the show. I however always want to be as close as possible to P no matter what. I was worried about Section 2, but it was ALL GOOD!!

April 17th- I WENT TO THE CLEVELAND,OH Show. I was 4th row to the side of the stage!! Excellent seats!! Though my Chicago seats were primo, I preferred the view from the SIDE CLOSEST sections by the stage. Viewing The show was better from that seat for me!!

I'LL SEE ALL CHICAGO ORGERS at WED 6/30 show too!!!!

I was in Section 6, Row 1. It was close but my seat had great perks. I got to see all the musicians make their entrances and exits; the steps leading up to the stage were right in front of me. I also got a bit of a contact high from whoever was smoking weed under the stage.

That's one row behind where I was on Friday. You should have a great time. The only drawback was that Rhonda Smith didn't spend much time on that side of the stage.

For those at the Chicago 6/25 concert, can someone help me with advice on best seats?

In Section 8 of All State Arena (area behind John Blackwell) is the better view the smaller numbered seats - seats like #1,2,3,4... OR seats in the teens - like seat #15,16,17,18, etc.

Thanks

sad I know this is not answering the question, but does anyone else think Allstate Arena sucks? It's such a B-league, 1970s barn with the worst concessions on the face of the earth. UNITED CENTER NEXT TIME, PRINCE! O.K., I've ranted and I'm feeling much better now. Really. razz

confused If you think I'm crazy, you're probably right, but I'm gonna have fun every mut... fu... night razz

You are so right! Allstate sucks. United Center would be so much better and easier to get to. I also love when he play's the Chicago Theater.
