Local trip-hop/neo-soul outfit HEAVENZONE makes it's first 2006 appearance on Tues. Feb. 14, Valentines Night, @ Big V's-- Snelling and University in St. Paul. Heavenzone's make-up of m/f vox, electric viola, electric upright bass, keys, electric guitar, as well as live and electronic drums stays true 2 a unique funky, MPLS Sound-type a thing. It's frontman Damian D.'s 35th Birthday Bash and will feature an acoustic performance by Lee Sadd ( of Cerca De ), local rockers Freeze Dried Fun, and, local turntable extraordinaire... DJ Evander. Expect some smooth grooves, some birthday cake, and possibly find that last minute "valentine".
