Can I just say

That I dont care how big the stadium is or how many people are stood in front of me (it always feels like hes playing just for me anyway) I'm still gonna be getting on TM in the morning and giving my credit card a bashing for golden circle standing!!! Maybe I'm niave and I should care about ticket prices or venue but as long as he's there doing his thing I'm gonna be there doing mine!

You know what, I am with you Synthiarose!

It's only costing me £10 to fly and I'm looking forward to spending the night with my girls in the hotel and having lunch in Temple Bar b4 etc. I went to Wembley stadium all those years ago and although I was annoyed as my friends mum wouldn't let us venture in and we had to stand right at the back the atmosphere was great!

It is different from the 02 and yes I mostly enjoyed the aftershows more than the main shows... I DID enjoy the mainshows and a Prince show is a Prince show after all... it's the gig I'm always wanting to go to so even if I'm not next to the stage I'm listening to the music. It just better be LOUD!

I like this thread! I've been biting my tongue in other threads when others have started whinging about prices and tickets. Boo hoo! Most of them are just trying to rationalise their unwillingness to go for whatever reason.

The O2 might have had cheap tickets but for those of us travelling from across Europe to go there, London's not the cheapest city in the world to spend time in. And at least our concert is IN the city centre, not stuck out in Eastendersville. More than one night/morning ended with me getting the boat back to Waterloo for about 5am, drinking coffee waiting for the tube to start back.

So if you're coming over to Dublin - great! We'll give you a nice welcome. If not, please turn down the negativity. Some of us here are trying to enjoy ourselves!

I do however agree with this thread by the way, and my opinions in the other threads are by no way intended to rain on anyones parade.

I have to admit that if the O2 show's and the aftershows hadn't happened at the venues they did for amount that they costed, then I too, as well alot of others on here would also have the same opinion that the cost and the venue does not matter.

Unfortunately some of us got spoiled last summer, and because of it the Dublin show does not seem as rosey and peachy as it should - especially for those living in London.

Don't get me wrong because you know as well I do I'll be there in the end. I'm just not feeling the same levels of desperation as I did 6 months ago...YET!

Thanks for the replies guys I just wanted to get my point across.
I'm gonna be in Ireland for 3 weeks visiting my mum (I'm guessing I shouldnt tell her that I'm looking forward to seeing his purpleness a ickle bit more than her only a little though!) the concert will come in the middle of my stay.

Wolfy my only companion will be my son and unfortunatly he wont be coming to the gig with me.

What a great way of putting it, as long as he is there doing his thing. I am just praying now that I can get a ticket so I can join in.

Right on guys...I felt the same way when gearing up to book tickets for the O2 last year. I'd rather be there in a shitty seat than not be there at all!! Good luck to everyone booking tickets in the morning, I'm so excited I don't know if I'll sleep tonight! Never been to Ireland before either, so its all very exciting

Congratulations! if I'm not mistaken, you've won the prize for the first so called "positive" fam in 2008 to bring out the personal negativity and tell other people what they should and shouldnt do!
