Just a few questions for you locals (I'm an Aussie flying in from London to see this show):
What is the quickest/easiest/cheapest/most scenic way to get from LA to LV? I would love to take a bus there and get to see a bit of the country side. Do buses run regularly? Can you get return tix etc? Know any web sights that might be able to help?
Thanks

Busses run all the time between LA and Las Vegas, although don't count on too scenic a trip. It's about a 4 hour trip by car through the desert (busses take a lot longer). Once you get out of LA, pretty much all of Interstate 15 looks the same till you see the lights of Sin City.

It's only a 45 minute flight from LAX to Las Vegas. I'd recomend it if at all possible. National Air / Southwest / America West usually have pretty good fares from LA.

If I were a tourist I would actually take the amtrak train from grand union station in Los Angeles to Vegas if I were wanting to see the country side. It will give you the chance to relax after the long flight and you get some beautiful sceneary. Now keep in mind the train takes about 6-8 hours but its worth it. I believe the price is about $60. I find it better then catching a bus. I've caught buses, planes, trains and driven to Vegas my method of choice is planes if I'm in a hurry. The train if I wanna be on a romantic get a way or just have 8 hours to kill. wink
