3121 Live in Las Vegas!

From the NPGMC:

3121 Hits Las Vegas!

PRINCE with special guest Támar will per4m Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28 at the new 3121 location in Las Vegas at 3765 Las Vegas Blvd. South, an intimate concert venue and nightclub at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

Members of the NPG Music Club will be able 2 buy presale tickets on Tuesday, May 9th at 10 AM Pacific Time in the Backstage Pass Room 2 all shows. There will be a 2 ticket limit per show. The tickets will cost $312.01 each and are general admission. The show is 21 & over and doors open 2 the public at 6 PM on Saturday and 10 PM Sunday (exact door times may change, check again closer 2 the date). Members who buy their tickets in the presale will be allowed in2 the venue b4 the general public, so get there early!

These will be historic nights 2 kick off what will surely be the first of many 3121 per4mances 2 come.

That's what I'm wondering. These ticket prices are bullshit, I'm being honest here. I've been a Prince fan for over 20 years, and I'll be damned if I'm going to be paying $312.01 for a ticket to see him perform. We're not rich like you are Prince, c'mon, get a grip. pissed

Never been to Vegas, so I had to search the location for myself.

Just took a peek at the address and ran it through RandMcNally.com. Whatever it is, the venue is located on the 604, just east of I-15 highway in the heart of Vegas. It is north of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, and basically, I guess, right across the street from the Monte Carlo resort and casino. It is also just south of the Holiday Inn Boardwalk Hotel and Casino.

Oh, after further review, the location is the Empire Ballroom. Backers of L.A.'s Viper Room bring a sophisticated dance and live music venue ... the web site says.

Guys...I'm for knocking Prince when he's shitting on his fans just like the next head...But i think a lot of you folks fail to see that this is just another promotional tool...The midget can get away with it because the show is: a) at a small club; and b) it's in FUCKING LAS VEGAS...Do you guys think he's going to be charging $312.00 for an entire tour???? Come on...it's one thing to bitch about regular fans not getting into the gig...it's quite another to be naive about the people the midget is trying to attract to this show (celebrities, the press and die-hard fans who got money to burn...) Seriously folks...it's just not that serious to have a torch and pitch fork midget beatdown...Again; the gig is at Las Vegas...Follow the money.....

I agree. This isn't just a normal gig, it's an extra special exclusive gig, and the obscene price is to make it exclusive and also to generate a certain amount of publicity and notoriety - that y'all seem to be falling into. OF COURSE a regular tour would never be able to charge tickets like that, only one-off gigs like this. He's not ripping anybody off - if you can't afford it, don't go, just like if there's a tv show you don't like, don't watch it. Seeing Prince live in a relatively intimate setting is not a god-given right to every fan, you have to fight your way over the tops of every other fan!
