I hear alot of potential. With some better recording gear and mix it would be off the hook. Good guitar work. Rippin' it up. cool

Same here, I was typing the same type of thing yesterday but I lost my connection. Try using less reverb, I think a more "dry" production would fit your music better.
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Honestly? I'll be as gentle as I can here, but, dude, the drums are like a huge lead anchor on your song.

I'm not sure what you're going for here with them - it's almost like listening to a song made up of ONE song, with the drums from another song. I guess they're electronic drums? Not a drum machine? Not sure, but the way they're played, it sounds like electronic ones.

The high-end on the drums is insane. The two different sets of hi-hats? Whut?

On the one hand, I want to applaud a unique approach to songwriting/recording, but, at the same time, I feel obligated to at least try to help you shape this thing up some. I dig the non-traditional drumming, but it takes WAAAY TOO MUCH away from the rest of the song. I can't hear the lyrics, nor can I follow them with the drums in their current pattern.

My suggestion would be to decide if you want this song to be a spastic new-wave song, or if you want a baby-making slow jam... the music sounds like baby-making, the drums sound like Devo without their Ritalin.

I hope I haven't offended you, and I'm definitely trying to put this in a way to see your potential and hopefully guide you in the direction you're already shooting for. Currently, this song is a split-personality seizure. You just need to give it the right meds and send it on it's way.

JesseDezz welcomes the constructive criticism. I'm just glad you fams decided to give my stuff a listen smile

BTW, Otan, there aren't two different hi-hats. The drums recorded are v-drums. The drum pattern panned to the right is done with an Alesis SR-16. A baby-making slow jam? eek

The guitar used was a Fender "Fat Strat" and a Fender Princeton 65 amp.

Thanks again for your feedback!!!
