Again with the Testolini Nelson? There are no kids, you want out and to be your own person. So just be your damn self then. I would embrace this whole media attack that she's doing for her line if it just didn't seem like a big use job.

I'll be interested to see if all this PR will mention the fact that she's now seeking divorce or if they will still milk the whole married to Prince thing.

I think the average joe that reads these magazines (esp. the Home and Garden one) aren't going to have any idea who she is married to. Having the last name Nelson isn't going to be a tip off. It's not like Prince goes around using his last name. How many average fans do you think know what his real last name is? We know it because we are interested, but the average person probably won't. So, if she goes by Manuela Testolini or Testolini-Nelson I don't think it makes that much difference. We'll just have to wait until the article comes out and see if it says, "married to pop superstar Prince." wink If it does, then I think people will have something to gripe about. cool

you think the average magazine editor is gonna approve an article about Mani T-Nelson, cute girl from Toronto with a charity project? Trust me, the Prince connection will be mentioned.

And really, there's nothing wrong that. She was married to a famous dude. That's just how it is.

Agreed. Gamillah Inc. probably would not be in existence today if it weren't for her being his wife. She may have always had the desire and the idea, but probably not the means to get it off the ground. I personally think it's great that she is devoting as much time, energy, and money to charity as she is. She could be keeping it all for herself.

Does anyone know when this article was written, before of after the divorce announcement. I do wonder how this will all work out. He tore down his house in MN will he continue to live there or move on, Was this interview done at Bridle Path estate which someone reported that the house was sold. I ask because Mani company is based in MN, IAPW is based in MN so she will be around quite a bit. She's using his name still. I understand by law she could still carry his name, but If you want a clean break and to make a spot in the world of your own then drop his name and let's see what you can do with out revealing the connection to Prince.

I will also say it is very interesting that Mani would decide to divorce Prince just as she starts to shine. Now she's starting to pop up in all kinds of Magazines getting her name out there, but there is no thanks to Prince. I think it is very honerable what she is doing, however would she have gotten to where she is now if it had not been for Prince and his money. She is living the high life now and I think it stinks that she would just drop him like that. and keep in mind we don't live with either of them and I don't claim to know any facts. I just feel bad he still has not be able to settle down with someone who really excepts and loves him for who he is and not just to make a name for themselves or take his money. Just my opinion.

The article says that it was done in "her Toronto residence."

Not that it's a big deal, but until she's offficially divorced from the guy, her name is Nelson. If she's using it for publicity, she wouldn't be the first and it doesn't suprise me in the least.

well far be it from me to hate on another woman's hustle. Good for her. Since I don't know what happened between them, I can't even go there. I was disappointed to hear they were divorcing. I was hoping Prince had finally found the one. Such is life...

I get that really I do. However, it's just that the papers were filed in May and since then it seems her PR machine has gone out of it's way to say that she's "married to Prince Rogers Nelson" in one way or another. I say be you girl. If her products and her causes are as great as they say, then they will shine on their own. Not because of or inspite of Mr. Nelson. Most divored women I know without children have dropped the married last name. The ones who kept it are the ones with kids or had terrible maiden names to begin with!

BTW, acording to a sicky on the front page, the divorce is done. So go figure.

Kissmequick. I could not agree with you more. If she's divorced him now she needs to stop promoting the fact she's married to Prince and let's see what she could really do on her own. That is how she will gain the respect for her business. The sad thing about this is Prince has to find someone else to love and that stinks to have to learn to trust again and learn a person it can be very exhausting. I'm sure Prince is not to worried, hurt maybe who wants to fail not to meantion at two marriages. Women will chase Prince until the end of time. I do however wonder if this divorce really had anything to do with Tamar or did Mani find someone new in this new journey that she started. It will be interesting to see who she's out with next.

Gawd, I REALLY hope Prince was smart enough to have a prenup with this silly bitch. After worming her way into his life the way she did, I don't think she deserves a freaking penny! I give my permission for her to keep the house, but that's all!

Cole, why are you so hateful of Mani? Now you seem to be so worried that a married women is using her husband's name. She is has been using that last name on her sitte for as long as the site existed .What difference does it make to you.? Now you are making a statement that you do not know anything about;,. Saying it has nothing to do with Tamar and it has to be her own reason. Now who make you Tamar's defender. No body knows what the reason was. The papersl were sealed. All these about Tamar is such a speculation. And to be candid, even the fans had been speculating this for a long time because of Prince's past reputation with proteges and any of us know that he spent so much time on her. and even the fans were wondering. For goodness sake,, every women has the right to wonder and complain when their husbands behave in such manners. Do you think because he is Prince , he can do whatever he chooses, especially in a marriage?. If you care for your hero as you seem to be, just pray for him and stop worrying about whether she is referred to as married to him, which is a fact.
Even if they decide to go ahead with the divorce, she can still use the name.
How many people know Prince's last name? She has no control on whether a writer say she is married to him or not. There are important things going on in the world, that we should all worry about. We can all wish both of them the best.

It's funny. You got hate coming from both sides on the Org. You got people hating Mani for using his name and getting money, and you got people in another thread hating Prince, wishing that Mani cleans up "for all he is worth" as another Orger put it.

This is quite interesting, sad, but interesting.

Bosede, you apprently are taking my state the wrong way. So let me try and clear it up for you. Number one he is not my hero. I enjoy his music and I've met them both a couple of times. What I said is that I don't pretend to know anything about them or the reasons behind his divorce. The speculation was made not by me, but by the media and others that Tamar was part of the problem. I simply stated that I hope that was not the reason again it was speculation. I have nothing against Tamar before that is the next thing you accuse me of. I personally think Tamar has alot of talent from what I've heard so far. As far as Mani goes I personally would like to see them work out there issues and reconcile, but that is something between them. I am not hating on Mani or her projects I have not ill feeling towards her, however what I was trying to say and may be it did not come across the correct way is that if you are breaking away from someone then break away. Is she is using her marriage ie last name etc to gain the fame then she really isn't doing it on her own. I think Mani is doing a great thing, but do it on your own merit. Destiny's Child wrote the song Independant women. and that should say it all right there.
