Sandra St Victor and Soul Sanctuary

I was watching a program called Liquid Assets about Prince's financial history and they interviewed SSV about her collaboration on Soul Sanctuary from the Emanicaption album. She said he refused to meet with her to work on 5 songs. He told her to send them to him and he returned them with his alterations. Hardcore fans know that he did this alot with other artists. She said that she wrote the song then it showed up on the album. She had not been paid. She contacted him he sent a card with a check for some amount that she didnt like.

What do you think? She did get credit on the liner notes of the album. If Prince is really such a thief, how has he made it this far without substantial legal problems and lawsuits? Why cant the artists that claim Prince stole songs from them ever develop any kind of careers or duplicate the quality of the work they did with him (Andre Cymone, Wendy and Lisa)? eek
