If it's the only dvd of Prince that you don't have yes. If not, get the other's first.

If you put my DVD's in front of me and told me to pick them in order they would go as follows:

Purple Rain SE
UTCM
The Hits
Graffiti Bridge (for the live video of The Question of U)
Rave
Alladin

Alladin is my least favorite DVD, it is a very lame show and Prince was NOT in a kick ass mood at all, very flat.

Its a COOL DVD, really.

Its true that Lovesexy (2 DVD's) and SOTT are probably better. But Live At The Aladin is full of great moments. If you can buy, BUY IT. Its a must.

I enjoy the DVD. I've watched it several times. Not great selection of songs, and the picture quality isn't great, but I would consider it a must for your collection. If nothing else, then for the Strange Relationship performance.

Snap

I don't know who that guy is in that DVD, but it sure don't seem like Prince. The only time it started to look like Prince was when he started to tear it up on the guitar for a couple songs, but that was it.

Of officially released material this is the best performance music wise.
He does almost no dancing though, if thats what your looking for this isn't it.
What he does do is an unbeleivable musical performance, and guitar playing.
Hands down the best band he has ever played with

I've been to over 40 p shows over the years & Vegas might of been the best. I think they spliced together the only usuable footage they had & totally misrepresented the vibe, variety of the setlist, & overall epic that show really was. All you have to do is look at the selist to see what might of been... Maybe one day if it's available the whole show will see the light of day because it kicked the Musicology Tours arse..

I really dig Prince, but he seems to get these artsy fartsy types to do his filming. For those of us that were there, it could've been filmed a 1000 times better. Plus a lot of the good stuff was cut out. I've been to a ton of his shows. This show so far was the best.

It's pretty bad. The quality is laughably amateur looking, and Prince just doesn't seem that inspired to play on some songs.

Just Curious, For those of you that were at the show, what other songs were on the setlist, and what songs if any should they have replaced?
Every time I watch the other people news, I see a false picture of myself, another one of u. They try 2 tell us what we want, what 2 believe. Didn't that happen in the Garden, when somebody spoke 2 Eve? But I'm willin'....

I just got this for Christmas and am watching it right now! It is ok, but I have seen better DVDs of his. He doesn't look too into it but he's Prince so it is worth buying just to support him.
