For those who don't know
"Underground " is a track from the "Breakfast club" soundtrack, 1985
It's a Keith Forsey instrumental number titled 'The reggae'.
Absolutely not a Prince demo from 1988!

llama

True but....

Jessie Johnson did actually play the guitar on track. Its a great piece too. He was session player on 5 tracks. He played the lead on "Reggae". Confirmed by Jesse and David Foster.

How about 'Heart Of Stone'?
it's not in the Vault book + it's difficult to place it in a particular Prince period.
Anybody knows anything more about this ???

It's not in The Vault book because the information has been updated in the new edition.

The actual title of that outtake is "Nothing Left 2 Give".

That's one of the Sandra St. Victor tracks... AFAIK it's a different song...

No fooling.

He turned the track on its head and gave it a good kick up the arse.

Sandra could barely recognise her song afterwards.

I can't remember what it's called, but I bought a CD once that claimed to be a Prince album, but the cover looked like it had been printed off of someone's computer (1970's era photo, complete with fro). It had a few Prince songs on it, but they were all instrumental, and definitely NOT Prince! I was so mad that I spent the $8 on nothing! I'm not sure if it has been sold outside of Seattle, but I hope no one else buys it.

It's probably just the pepe Willie sessions..and those arent fake..he did play on those songs. He particularly had a hand in composing "Just Another Sucker" which is credited to Controversy Music (ASAP)

You got CD2 of Symbolic Beginnings. CD1 had the vocal versions of these songs.
$8? eek You got a good deal. It is an import from Germany, I believe. Could be wrong, but that is where mine is from.
