I recently downloaded something called the 1977 instrumental sessions. Now none of the instrumentals have proper names and are just numbered, there are 6 songs. Can anyone give me anymore information on them?

Thanks for the links. I checked out the clips on amazon and that one man jam thing but its not the same and none of these tracks have singing. It sounds a little more like the for you album. Maybe it's just unreleased instrumentals then??

There are unreleased instrumentals from 1977 - 8 known.

There are no known titles.

01- Instrumental 1 (5:13) Which goes a bit like Marvin's "Got To Give It Up"

02- Instrumental 2 (6:18) Which sounds very Chick Corea influenced

03- Instrumental 3 (6:15) Which recalls the melody of "Venus"

04- Instrumental 4 (8:37) Which arguably is the first Madhouse composition

05- Instrumental 5 (6:55) Which sounds like the title track of TRC

06- Instrumental 6 (8:07) Which sounds like Andre Cymone's "Trouble"

07- Instrumental 7 (7:38) Which reminds one of Four Non-Blondes

08- Instrumental 8 (6:33) Which is a faster-tempo "Letter 4 Miles"

Not only does it contain all the 1977 instrumentals listed above , but also 95% of the unreleased Prince stuff from the 1976-1981 studio sessions.

Which is why "Studio Nights" is such a classic boot.
