OK, Who Is Tamar?

Billboard just announced that Prince has written all the songs for a new artist, Tamar and that this artist will open all of his 2006 shows. Anyone know?

After a google, I discovered an artist that signed with Dreamworks and a Tamar Broadbent at Tamar.org.uk.

Which one is working with Prince?

I believe they're talking about Ashley Ta'Mar Davis, the chick that sang with Prince at the NAACP Image Awards back in March, I think.

I'm betting this is the one. So any pics of her available? I missed that performance. Is she a singer or just a looker? Or both?

Toni Braxton has a sister named Tamar. She had a deal with Universal/Motown back in 2002.

If that's definitely Tamar, I thought she had a good voice. As far as looks--a bit too much make-up IMO, but nice looking. She's no Miss Panama/silicon/plastic surgery type of girl...(but I didn't think Lisa Hernandez was all that...)
I'm trying to find a pic of her online, but not having much luck... I'll keep looking.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Ashley Ta'Mar Davis was in an all-female band named Angaza. Here's their website, which includes a bio and photos of Ashley as well as some music by the band:

Prince wrote 'On Your Own' which he recorded in 1994 with Ashley Davis on lead vocals.

I just went to that website, and the drummer for that band is cora Coleman, who plays the drums on "Te Amo Corazon". I hope the rumors that Rhonda is gone are not true. She;s worked with him for so long!
I'm back!!!!!!!
