The only irritating stuff about it is when you listen to the short versions of tunes like When doves cry... God you want to hear the incredible ending of this tune but no... no... no it stops cry .

One more thing. The track list of disc 1 is a lot better than I thought. The sequence is working very very well. Very promising. I'm looking forward to the real thing now.

Hmmm, 1999 is NOT the complete version. Let's see where this is going for the other tracks...

Okay, just heard it. Both Delirious and When Doves Cry are the shorter versions... What a bummer... mad

Still buying the set though! biggrin

Man yes it is worth buying remastered stuff. It does not sound better, it sounds WAY better. You rediscover the music completely and hear details, arrangements that could hardly hear before.
Buy the remastered "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen or "Diamond Dogs" from Bowie. These albums sound brand new.

it looks like the Ultimate has been put back to the 20th in the uk (according to amazon and play.com). So the 2 new cd's will be competing with eachother!

Come on, it's not THAT good, sure it sounds a bif fresher/clearer but I would go nowhere saying it is a HUGE improvement...

but still I will reserve judgement till I have the cd's at home wink
