It would be awesome - they are stuck down with a hell of a glue! Even the guys sticking them on don't bother taking the old ones down, they just paste over the top. Unless you are going to take a bucket of water down to soak them off, you've no chance, and there's no way they're going to let you on a tube platform with a bucket of slippery water!!

The ones put on shopfronts and walls, however, are a different story. If you can get them before the paste has set, or if it has rained recently... I once peeled off a giant poster with some friends and took it home. There were a dozen or so posters all stuck on each other - we soaked it in the bath and managed to seperate about 7 complete posters with minimal tearage - though we did all have nightmares that night probably as a result of the glue vapour! Well, we all were really rather drunk...

there is no way its getting to number one, promo has been non existant apart from a few posters and one performance.

yeah, this is what i never understand with Prince, he clearly wants this record to be a hit , so where the hell is he, he should b doin mariah carey still promotion!

He could come here for a week tops do a few interviews, performances, get radio 2 supporting the record. It would easily chart in top 3 with this kinda work behind it.

It won't hit numero uno i dont think, bt i think we will get a bit of a shock. There will be more "buzz" around this album when it comes out and more airplay not only of his new stuff but old stuff to.
