When U'r down, which Prince tune lifts U up?

For me, it always will B 'Anna Stesia'. I'm not what U might call overly religious, but it has such a great mesaage on all levels. Also, 'Lady Cab Driver' puts a smile on my face. How 'bout U?

Well when I am down, the prince tune that lifts me up is " When Doves Cry." It is my favorite Prince song of all time, and I think that everyone can really relate to it.

Just listening to his voice lifts my spirits. I like The Word. Its like a comforting song for me. But all his songs I have on my ipod really make me feel calm and feel more at ease.

Ooooh yes!! He has helped me through many a hard times. Years ago, I was going through a rough patch, and I was use to thinking about- "May you live to see the dawn" for inspiration. Well, when things got better. I bought my new "The Gold expierence" cd. and at the end it said, Welcome to the dawn" I felt it was aimed just at me. So my answer is- Gold

Gold has helped me a lot in this department.

But sometimes, it takes the backdoor. I don't know if this is an approriate answer, but I'll try.

One time (a couple of Saturdays ago), I felt lots in the midst of chaos with all of Prince's material swirling around my head. Switching back and forth between TGE and "Purple Rain" [the film], then I wasn't impressed with Musicology and 3121 I think helped level the playing field.

So Gold started playing in my head and it's emotional for me, so it threatened to drive me to tears... I locked myself in my room and played it on my stereo.
After it ended, I cried my eyes out for what felt like forever, 1/2 an hour at most. Then I felt Prince reach out to me, whisper comforting thoughts in my ear, telling me what mistakes not to make next time and how to keep the chaos to a minimum.

So in a backward, unorthodox way, Gold has lifted me up when I'm down. Prince reached me thru the song one other time, and since I carry the song with me where I go, I feel like he's always with me. That's why I call Gold my "soul tattoo"

She's Always in my hair (Song is about unconditional love and support --- I can dig it)

Anna Stesia (makes me feel that life's problems are small in the grand scheme of things... "God is love, Love is God".

When Doves Cry (reminds me of when I was a teenager, and life was simple, and then I think "Life doesn't have to be this hard... just live it"

Good question, gotta say 'Grand Progression'.

Like anyone some days are worse than others but never as bad as the day Prince was having when he did that song.

That's an odd choice. I mean, it's a great song and everything, but it doesn't sound good for Prince the way things are going in the song.
