(I think you're getting the terms 'LP' and 'Album' confused) CD is just a format. Album is the correct generic term for a collection of songs released by an artist, and can be available on many different formats (eg. Anx the point of matter is that a lot of folks come on here and post alleged insider info and then what was hinted at or posted doesn't come true and people move on.
