I recently sent a really nice email to the NPGMC...a lot af asslicking kind of thing going on, but then I cut to the chase and asked simply to put my mind at rest as th whether club members would recieve the One Night Alone Live box set as part of their NPGMC membership. They replied with the following brief but to the point statement:

'The box set will be part of the current NPGMC membership'

So...there ya go! I got the truth outta them!!!

I look forward to recieving it ASAP!

This is a real pisser. We paid $100 for One Night Alone (all 30 something minutes) and a 3-disc set that any jackass will be able to buy locally before Christmas?

I really hope there's more to the club than that before the club-year is up.

Although I haven't got much enthusiasm for this set (having missed out on the pre-sale tickets and knowing that this CD set will just remind me of what might have been), it's good to know that there'll be two more CD's coming through the post before Feb 2003.

OK. The next question that needs to be answered is when!

More evidence that this will be a pre-release download from NPGMC. I think the other 3 CD's are still scheduled to mailed out to club members...

To those that think that a three CD set is too much to download from the site at once: check last year's membership - we downloaded an hour long radio show plus at least three other MP3's every month!

There was another posted response from the NPGMC that basically said the other three CD's would be mailed out before the end of the year (regardless of the new live set). Since the search feature has been shut down on this &*^(^&**!^&@$# site I can't find the post right now. (arrgghh)

Because the communication from the club is so awful, you guys are just jumping to negative conclusions so you can sensationalize your posts. There's no reason to believe the CD's listed in the tour book will NOT be sent to us as part of this year's club offering.

Assuming ONA...Live is going to be a NPGMC selection I would be thrilled if Xenophobia were sent along with it. They would save on postage & we would get 4 cds at once. Its a win-win situation.
I think thats what will happen:
ONA...Live plus Xenophobia.

Thinking positive is all I've been doing . . . but if all we get is 3 more cd's that are going to be out retail in October - it may not be enough motivation to sign up for another year. And the waiting and not knowing has been frustrating also. The first year and once and month ahdio downloads were wonderful - but so far - this year has been a disappointment.

Wait - not a total disappointment - I did get front row seats in Seattle and again in Vancouver. That in itself was worth $100 . . .
