What I would do if I was Prince...

If I was Prince, I'd have a close relationship with every fan site and express my sincere thanks to them for making my career a success. I'd make sure they were never subject to any lawsuit or interference from Web Sheriff/Lawyers. I'd give them free pictures, insight, and music. I'd make sure the three websites help bring traffic to my official site as well.

I'd love it if people discussed my bootleg material, live concerts, and unreleased tracks... because in all honesty, my vast unreleased tracks and live material is the reason why I still have so many fans. I'd pop in every now and then to give more complete information and background on each of the tracks talked about. "Oh, you want to hear Cosmic Day?
There's actually 3 versions -- here are clips of each one. It was recorded in 1985... etc."

I'd also fix up my main website to show a deeper history of my career and music and the people I've worked with, highlighting each one and telling people what they did with me and at what time, what songs we worked on, and what they're doing now. "Here, Susan Rogers talks about the song WALLY." I'd have great interviews about the recording process, and have full track lists of unreleased tracks and live concerts. I'd start a monthly subscription club, $19.99 a month, and allow users to listen to and download unreleased tracks, concerts, etc.

I'd also make many live concerts available to members. "Oh, you want 21 Nights in London? Here you go... all 21 nights with aftershows, personally signed by me, Prince." If you want it, here you go...only 99.99." And if people loved unreleased tracks so much, I'd start playing them for members and letting them purchase compilations with full artwork, signed by me. 10 unreleased tracks, signed by me, for $29.99? Sounds good...

"Want to see the inside of the Vault?" Man, there is so much Prince could do, but instead he's shoving his lawyers in people's faces. That's sad to me.

Boy, people have such high expectations...

I don't know if I would be able to live up to people's demands...

It's not easy being Prince... you can't please everybody...

Hey, I can't even please everybody...

Hey, maybe that's just a human feature...

Hey, maybe he doesn't have to do that just because he is Prince! (Yep, I think I hit the nail on the head here.)

Can't say I agree with everything you wrote, but it would be nice if his site was more comprehensive about his career, even if it wasn't objective. I wouldn't know half the stuff I do know about Prince if it wasn't for Prince.org

Prince has so much material that he could release.

The sad thing is, that if Prince get's tired of the downside of this business, He could, go into, another aspect of his life, and let his music stay hidden.

If I was Prince, I would have a harem of men. I would even have one to hold my cigarette and place it up to my mouth every time I need a puff.

Man, if I were Prince...I'd have the coolest, most popular fucking website on the internet!!! I'm not gonna say what it'd be like because if he wants that kind of knowledge, he can pay me for it since he's being such a royal twit!

Just know that I wouldn't have any damn problems with fan sites because there'd be NO WAY IN HELL they could compete with mine!!! razz
