under the cherry moooon!

I recently saw Under The Cherry Moon
4 the first time & was pleasantly surprised how good it was!
I didn’t expect much afta remembering crappy reviews.
But I think he did a great job.
Visually it’s stunning - good move with the black/white imagery,
the location so romantic, the clothes r crazy!
The gigolo storyline is perfect!
I had no idea this movie was so funny. The humour is very impressive.
He looked incredible & ultimately the soundtrack is something special.
Completely Parade.
Possibly my fave scene was when Mary phoned him from her bedroom.
The pauses were genius! Quite erotic actually…despite a camp nibble on a baguette.
She snares him - clever girl!
The next thing, her mother gets ‘the pizza man’…

The whole movie is a work of art and I love it from start 2 finish ! My fave part is when he does the whole Bella Lugosi bit ! Cracked me the up !

PEACE.....It does not mean 2 be in a place where there is no noise,trouble,or hardwork.It means 2 be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart !

I come from the Cherry Moon city well I originally come from Nice and when I am home sick or in need of my "Prince back in the days" fix, I watch it. It is just so strange seeing the streets that I know, the flower market, the old town, the building where he "was living".
I will try to get into the building where part of the film was filmed and see if I get some info
Nice has changed a lot since it was filmed the arch where he is driving at the beginning of the film is more modern and there are some new restaurants, but I can't help smiling when I am walking where the whole action happened...

i love this movie it is hilarious i always thought i might be dissappointed by it mainly due to reviews i had read but i was happily surprised

I find Bela Lugosi to be quite the horror movie legend.

For a Prince fan, it's just a great, feelgood, fun film. Reminds me of a time as a teenager when this, Purple Rain, SOTT the movie, Lovesexy Live, and Graffiti Bridge were on constant rotation

I did find GB useful in winter though, as watching it would invariably make my cheeks burn red with embarrassment, keeping me nice and warm

When he says - while nibbling on his french bread - "sex" - that's SO funny, and Wrecka Stow of course!

My little boy loves the bit about the 'bats' in the cafe!

First time I watched this I was giggling because it shows Prince in a completely different way to PR, so camp and funny, but I LOVE it, the whole style of the film, and of course he looks absolutely gorgeous in it too!

the look on his face is priceless.

oh it's not that bad. As with any video with Prince, you can't take your eyes off the guy. The dancing is brilliant, and it's always good to see Morris Jerome (and Jill). It's just everything else being shit that makes it...a bittersweet experience

if you haven't seen it though, lottielooloo, get hold of it.
