can someone point me to the thread ( if there is one ) of prince from the controversy era?

For some reason though, I think their refering to the thread that basically was a Dirty Mind thread. And then folks started posting pics from Controversy. That was about 6 or 7 weeks ago, I think. Maybe longer.

I've had this poster since 1982. I remember one of the very first threads I wrote on here was about when I saw Prince perform the song "Annie Christian" on the Controversy tour. That's where this picture is from. I find it odd that a lot of people don't care that much for this era of Prince. And I'm not refering to his music at that time either. When you think about it...When "Controversy," was released...that is when you started seeing Prince's concerns about the world being displayed, in the songs, Ronnie talk to Russia," and "Annie Christian," and if you follow the political thoughts, and the spiritual thoughts, You can see how much Prince grew as a thinker...when you listen to, "Dear Mr. Man," and "Resolution."

This pic was rumored to be the Controversy album cover at first. But Prince decided on the one that got used obviously.

This is one of the BEST Prince picture threads that has been on here and yet, it has 1/4 of the posts that other picture threads receives. IF that. That's why I mentioned earlier that many people on this site simple can't relate to THIS Prince. He was too hard, too wild, etc.
