Rhino Purple Rain vinyl release delayed STATUS REPORT

Looks like the limited edition 180-gram vinyl of Purple Rain is going to be delayed. I got an email from my local wrecka stow today, saying the new date is 10/21.

Amazon is still saying 9/8. Not sure when that might change...but I thought those who expressed an interest earlier might like to know.

MODS: This thread is about an official release. Please do not delete it on the grounds that it refers to a bootleg (as happened earlier). Here is the amazon page concerning the release:

eek I did not know about this! So cool. thumbs up! Will it have the orginal inner sleeve with Doug Handers' face painting??? excited I'm guessing the When Doves Cry poster won't be included...or will it? If it is, then I will scream with joy. omfg

Oh man, I'm gonna have to get a record player just for this; how much do they cost these days? I'll probably have to put the LP AND the player on my Christmas List...hmmm

Rhino is WB's catalog company.

They have issued tons of vinyl in the past few years. Especially a lot of the ARetha and Otis stuff.
