Shelby's album?? Yay! That woman has a powerful voice and needs to be heard. Real soul you can't just put in a bottle and shake it up. She was born with the ingredients of real soul. I look forward to her new album, it's about time. Oh and also look forward to Prince's new album, if what Dr. Funkberry says is true. http://prince.org/msg/15/286132

That's rather interesting that a columnist for USA Today heard several of the songs from the rock and roll album.

Also in the works is a project with Tal Wilkenfeld & Michael B. providing the music for Shelby J’s debut cd. The first song, “North Carolina”, will feature Anthony Hamilton and Prince on backing vocals and will be released as soon as it is finished. Also planned is a NY book release party (details forthcoming) that the whole band and crew are looking forward to. Pray for an afterparty somewhere, people!-Dr.FB I wondered how long it would take for Prince to hook up with Tal. That girl is the bizness!!! Much support for my bass playing sista. I love to see the ladies doing it. I can't wait to hear this. Thanks for posting. http://www.talwilkenfeld.com/Tal.html perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

No wishing for Prince’s Turn Me Loose on I-Tunes…or on any format for that matter! Turn Me Loose was just a leak. The DJ got the cut from Prince’s studio after begging for it after just one listen! He promised not to play it on air, then couldn’t resist. The song is not included on any cd and was recorded for posterity’s sake and placed in the vault. Edna Gundersen, on the other hand, heard several tracks from an all-out rock and roll album that Prince just completed. It’s being mastered as we speak. No release date is being planned for the collection at this time. Also in the works is a project with Tal Wilkenfeld & Michael B. providing the music for Shelby J’s debut cd. Edna always supports every Prince album, He shouldnt be too concerned what she thinks, she likes almost anything, she comes off as one of those pay for play type columnists. She'll praise anything for the right price. Her opinion matters nada other than a good quip from a major newspaper. Other than that, i'm really looking forward to Prince rocking out! phew!. is this a case of p taking on board the overall negative vibe about TML?. Clearly it WAS meant for release given its major exposure on U.S TV and the so called radio leak which his lawyers would have stamped on in minutes!.

(dropping out about 15 years after I graduated, but let's not split hairs...) Was I what u wanted me 2 b?

I can't believe Prince would perform a new song on TV and then let it 'leak' to a rdaio station just so he can shelve it.
