What do you think of these rare songs?

a mate at work has these songs and is putting them onto cd's for me. before i nearly burst with bootleg excitement does anyone else have these songs. what do u think? any that are really good?

empty room is up there with his best songs...i still remember hearing it for first time with video before the gold experience tour i think it was....should have been on official cd ...what a shame

that guitar solo....his face in that guitar solo !

i was listening to Witness for the prosecution during my lunch that he had on his ipod and that is prince being completly rock mode. He is rocking out and it is great. It could be something you would imagine a top rock group doing. Class song. I cant wait for the others

Fair mix of the good, bad and the ugly there.

Standouts are Empty Room, All Day All Night, I Wonder, In A Large Room, Witness, Make It Through The Storm.

A decent mix of eras for a compilation, but there aren't many of the most well known/loved out-takes there, maybe you have those already?

empty room- lyrics that come from the anger and frustration from a lost love. you could feel his pain from the emotion and lyrics of that song. BRILLANT!!
all day, all night- the spoken tone with the revolution from the PR era.. very funky indeed
Moonbeam levels-very emotional in the same vein lyrically as 1999. i hope he releases this someday.

I have now got 51 songs to sit and go through to put onto my already bulging prince playlist on my ipod. I cant wait. It is no doubt going to take me a while because what i normally do is put them all onto a seperate playlist to listen to during the day. And i also put the CD on and listen all through the morning and certain songs stick out when on in the background and its those that get first choice. And then on later listens coming back to a cd it is then that i start to pick up on other random tracks.

I am so excited and looking forward to going through all this it is going to be such a happy time in my home for the next few days!

Does anyone else have that feeling with Prince music when you discover more?
