Legendary artist you'd like to see Prince work with before they die?

I would love to see Prince work with Stevie Wonder - my 2nd fave artist after P.

To hear our man tear up a version of Stevie's "Living For The City" would be my dream.

So who do you wish P would collaborate with before they die?
Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud

Concerning a collaboration with Prince and someone else, most of you mention artists that are 'close' to prince, like Stevie etc.
I think it's more interesting to see what would come out of a collaboration between Prince and...Slipknot! For example.
Some interesting stuff may come out of that, or not.

Prince and some club DJ. Not the DJ mixing the Prince song, but actually sit down together and creating something from scratch.

As most Prince colloborations with other artists get too PRINCED, I'ld like to see Prince get funky on OTHER people's records rather than peeps dropping in at Paisley Park.
I mean, that Angie Stone thing was HORRID.
The Musiq coloboration was nerve wrecking.
I'ld let George Clinton work Prince over in the studio.
Stevie making Prince sings some of his songs.

I have always wandered what a Tori Amos/Prince combo would sound like. Especially if P put his spin on Raspberry Swirl. Yeah, strange, I know...

Gwen Stefani for one. She's great, but got relegated to the back of the mix of a second-rate (maybe third-rate) Prince commercial filler track.
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

Prince with Prince, imagine two of them up there on stage! Never work though they would each be struggling for control.

Now that´s a difficult question. I´d say:

Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan and maybe Aaliyah
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

If only Prince had produced and played on an album with James Brown back in 1987-88. Good God, that could have funked!

Imagine, Prince giving James 'Housequake'-like jams to play with, and maybe Bootsy, Maceo and Fred Wesley along for the ride. All I can say is, EEEOW!!!

I'm still hankering for a Prince/Bootsy/Maceo team-up, though. Probably never happen, though. Still - UNHH!

b.b. king... i'd love to see prince do a straight-up blues album... i have always wanted this... and b.b. king has always collaborated well with other artists... plus, after listening to the guitar into to the ONAlive version of "other side of the pillow," i would love to hear prince & b.b. king trade off on guitar licks... b.b. king is still making the same kick-ass classy blues that he has always done, and his vocal and guitar skills remain undiminished... his backing band is probably the best blues band around today... i think he and prince could offer a lot to each other...

i would also like him to collaborate with james brown... this is more for james brown than for prince, however... jb is still one of the coolest men on earth (if you haven't seen his bmw film, do it now), and still has some funk and soul left in him (his latest cd "the next step" has moments of brilliance), but on the whole he has not made a lot of good music in a long ass time... i would like to see prince write and produce an album for james brown and set together a band that could truly make james brown wanna give it his all... i'm tired of james brown trying to get funky with a drum machine... the man was build on spontaneity, and you can't be spontaneous with a damn drum machine...

Prince and Willie Nelson? Holy shit that's too funny!! Willie couldn't supply the funk somehow, I think, although I bet he would do a GREAT cover of "Sometimes it Snows in April" on vocals and guitar with Prince on backing vocals and piano.

Aretha - that would be great, although I think even for Prince she might be overbearing in the religious fervour department.

Grace Jones? She's too much of a man for Prince. shake
