I just picked up a copy here today in Osaka. Everything is THE SAME as the 1997 Japanese DVD. It plays in cropped (P&Scn) 4:3 on a regular TV and 16:9 (widescreen) on a computer DVD. The diolog is English only, but subtitles in Japanese and English are avlb. The artwork is the same as the 1997 version. There is no new bonus material, just the same credits, actor bios (in Japanese) and Film trailer.
It is coded for region 2 only (Japanese NTSC)
Is not a new version or anything, as the promotion sugests, It is kind of some re-issuing marketing trick, as Japan is having increased sales with Prince's ONA box set.
It is still a cool thing to have (For SERIOUS colectors only)
