I was there in 1988 when "Livesexy" was taped at Dortmund. It was fun, you can even see me during the "Up in Minneapolis I don't play that"-note for "A Love Bizarre"...

Does this one count?? I think so!!!

I was present during the shooting of the SOTT-movie in Rotterdam (june 28th, 1987).

It was basically another GREAT show, but they told us before the show that they were going to record it and that there would be shots made of the audience. Whomever didn't want to be filmed was asked to go to someone from the organisation...

Yes, I'm in the movie somewhere...

LoveSexy in Dortmund ...
great show, strange atmosphere ... all those Dutchmen in Germany just after Holland won the eurocup Soccer in Germany.

(For the young genaration:
Prince wanted a show in Holland transmitted, but there wasn't a good location in Holland ... so tickets for the Dortmund-show were sold in Holland)

I found the second half (the lovesexy part) less than the performances in Rotterdam.

Parade-tour in Rotterdam isn't a classic bootleg ... but its my classic performance!

It was a very small club with a VERY small stage, and the club was packed, maybe 100 or 200 people were there. It was the day before the 1st of 2 shows he played in Vienna and it was a Madhouse charity gig for a Children's hospital treating children suffering from cancer and noone was really thinking that Prince would appear as well!! I know many Prince fans in Vienna who didn't go as they were sure he wouldn't be there, though a local newspaper had speculated that it might happen. A friend of mine had won 2 tickets at a contest run by a local radio station and took me with her lol.But some times after Madhouse had ended their set he finally came on stage.I couldn't believe it and me and my friend started to scream (we were both very young at that time and it was only our 2nd Prince show) and Prince smiled and told us to cool down. I was standing right in front of him (maybe just 20 cms away) in the middle of the 1st raw, just in front of his microphone stand lol. Prince was wearing peach trousers and a pullover in bordeaux red like the one Cat is wearing in the SOTT tourbook (on the pic where she, Cat and Prince are all wearing pullovers), and later he took it off. The atmosphere was different to the other nightclub gigs I attended (Emporium 2 times, Kaufleuten and Technisches Museum ) as it was the only one where there were few Prince fans in the audience. Nevertheless the people were really enjoying it and I think everyone attending thought it was a historical moment that such a big star as Prince is playing in such a small club in a city like Vienna. It was a night I will never forget lol

It really was and I do have the bootleg (the LP and the CD). Yes the quality is not great, but I smile everytime when I hear that guy in the audience say in his Viennese accent "Sheila wir lieben dich" ("Sheila we love you"), that's too funny lol

Thank you lol The bootleg is not complete, but there is not very much missing. It was not the longest concert, but there had been the Madhouse concert before (that started at maybe 1 am in the morning), so it was late when Prince finally came on stage for his performance

I was there 2...
No known recording has surfaced: ive been searching 4 it ever since! It's my Holy Grail.
It started with COME (He jammed 4 about 10mins behind the curtain on the stage - remember?
He wore THE loudest pink silk suit ive ever seen (not that Ive seen many loud pink silk suits),
but still managed 2 look cool and (as ever) IMMACULATE.

Considering he'd just played in front of 75,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, he was on TOP form.
He seemed pretty damned pleased with himself 4 pulling it off as I remember him saying:
"Wembley's MY shit now!", but that these were really the kind of gigs he enjoyed more.

I certainly wasn't arguing. omg

He ended the gig with a storming House In Order, and repeatedly diving off the stage in2 the audience. He was also wearing my Raybans 4 most of this song which I threw on 2 the stage 4 him. (commenting: 'Hmm, they look kinda cool..')
Never got them back tho...tight ass! I mean, it's not as if he's short of a few quid is it? Phucker.
Still, it's a story 2 dine out on:
'yeah, Prince stole my sunglasses...'
lol

The Forum August 1st 1993:

Set List

COME
JOHNNY
POPE
RACE
PAPA
HONKY TONK WOMEN
BLUE LIGHT
BLUES IN 'C'

ENCORE: HOUSE IN ORDER

Man, it totally SUCKS that this show hasn't appeared in any shape of form...
It's still the most ELECTRIC Prince gig Ive ever attended.
hrmph Im all up in a blue fOnk now

I was there as well.Excellent gig and Prince landed on top of me when he dived into the audience. Did you notice how everyone stepped back and helped him onto the stage instead of the usual practisce of letting him crowd surf over our heads?

Also attended the 2nd Emporium show ( available on CD as Funky Design ) and this was the best gig of my life !
