Roadhouse Garden was completed and sequenced, but the
actual tracklist has never leaked out to my knowledge. All
we know is that it contained tracks like "All My Dreams",
"Witness 4 The Prosecution", "Roadhouse Garden", "In A
Large Room With No Light" and "Empty Room".

Roadhouse Garden was never completed and sequenced...
Prince picked songs (the ones mentioned above and the original "Old Friends 4 Sale", "Go" and "Katrina's Paper Dolls") and wanted Wendy & Lisa to co-produce it and add songs from that period, they "declined" and bitter old Prince shelved it...
Later when asked why W&L declined they said they were never asked and that it was all up to Prince... So go figure...

Prince knows his older material is far superior and he knows when he releases those alongside his current material the older material will get more attention and acclaim and that will confirm to himself as well as everyone else that he has lost the plot...

Mmmm...

Like when he released 'Splash' as an NPGMC download alongside more contemporary material?

You usually tend to make a lot of sense but I can't follow this particular line of reasoning at all...

Funnily enough I don't recall 'Splash' getting all that much attention from observers, which was a criminal oversight given it's such a cool track.

TURN IT UP 2.0 in particular paid scant attention to it in their survey.

I mean, if he releases a full album of old material next to a full album of new material...
Like for instance, if he releases an album full of 1999/Purple Rain outtakes and promotes it like that and a week later he releases an album with new material and promotes it like that, believe me that the album with outtakes will get more attention and acclaim than the new album... And Prince knows that and this is exactly what he doesn't want since he wants to live in the "now" and wants to be recognised for the stuff he's doing now instead of what he did back "then"...

Can't you read?
I'm talking about ALBUMS...
And well he's doing a hits tour

1: Probably because he hasn't played a gig in Australia since 1992 so the people there would like some hits instead of obscure "internet only" shit that only the handful of hardcore fans he has there know of...

2: He's "retiring" them right?
