All Mixed Up

Let's start this with a prologue:

Last nite many of you orgers from the US may have noticed I was online for three n' a half hours last nite from 3am to 5am. Yes, I had some weird sleeping problem yesterday, I haven't slept - but I tried, and to send me to sleep I figured what could be better than listening to a 70 minute Prince Megamix.

BIG MISTAKE

Ladies and Gentlemen, I don't think I have ever ridden on such a funky music trip involving Prince since I first heard either The Gold Experience or Lovesexy. This song is the bomb!!!

70 minutes of pure, incredible funk for one free download, the only problem is that it's a NIGHTMARE to get hold of, but I managed it and it's been well worth it. I ended up not sleeping, just listening, probably with a face like this:

omg

This song is mastery - whoever did this mix really is a good Prince fan, and knows how to funk you - The brilliant insertion of Shockadelica, which blends into DMSR with Riffs from Batdance over the top. Genius. And it goes on...and on...and on - So funky! Even Melody Cool is inserted so brilliantly that it sounds good. This really is genius, the DJ even uses "We are the New Power Generation" for seagues.
I'm listening to it again, and I'm approaching the final 10 mins, and When Doves Cry has just come on drool.

Naturally, there are those who will disagree and won't think this is as funky as I say, but I can't help that, this is my opinion, but you still have to at least give this jam a try - even Cloreen is in this!

You have to try it to understand - this is the best mix I've ever heard.

This is one of the ultimate Prince mix compilations and DJ Foefur and Tolaxim should be applauded for their efforts.

The Detroit Crawl has been spinning it at its club parties since July 2002. We played it at midnight and it totally filled up the dance floor. So many could not believe, that after 70 minutes, it was the same mix.

I heard that DJ Foefur is in the process of putting another mix compilation together. When that will be released, who knows?

We will keep on spinning it for time to come.

One of the best $20 I spent on the disc. And for a while after The Detroit Crawl debuted it in Detroit, the DJs and The Crawl ran a special for any of the motor babies to get it at a discount.

Hopefully after people read and see this thread, they will hop on over and inquire, if they have not already.

Patiently waiting for All Mixed Up Part Deux.

Definitely a Co-sign there nod

And the idea of a part deux makes me go omfg because this song is incredible, you can use it for anything as well - while I've been browsing the org, it's been background music, when I've listened to it, it's an amazing funk-dance track which flows amazingly without becoming boring - a pretty amazing feat considering this is 70 mins and some people get bored after a 7 minute long normal Prince song.

I'd love to hear it in a club, sounds all exciting, and I'd love to hear an era focused one, possibly including something done involving "We March", those "Waaa-ooohs" could come in handy.

@ this point I'm not sure if DJ Foefur is going to work on that 2nd mix. His spinning and other musical influences kicked in. Maybe one day...

But I keep on nagging so maybe he will give in.

I've had an excellent response so far, but may I just say that it helps if you are a user of MSN Messenger, otherwise you will have to wait until February when my site comes back up to download it, and then there's the risk of a bandwidth overload like what happened last time.

But don't worry about it, keep those orgNotes coming if you want it!

U HAVE checked with him that's its ok 2 do this I take it spOOky?

Just outta courtesy more than anything, seen as its his hard work?

Well spooky, but did you check with Prince and WB too? You known its their songs and recordings that are used for the mix.
Better watch this, because unlike WB Prince's minions do watch this site and will not refrain from sueing a fan for unauthorised downloading. It has happened before. Be carefull what you say and do.
You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.
