Questions about NPG-Era Videos

After following Prince obsessivley til the early 90's, I kinda dropped out shortly after the name change.

But last night after HHOF I was watching VH1 Soul and they were playing a bunch videos from the 90's, some which I'd never seen, and I had a few questions (which may seem obivous to recent fans so please forgive me).

1. Who is the Vanity-esque woman in the "Insatiable" video? She was in another video they played right after but I can't remember which right now. In the sequence of the videos they were playing, it was definitely BEFORE Mayte cuz she was in the later ones.

2. Who is the left-handed bass player in these NPG videos? I know Levi is on Guitar but I don't know who this guy is. I think he stayed on for later NPG incarnations but maybe that was Sonny Rollins??

3. In later videos, Rosie is gone and a Black male keyboard player seems to be playing 2nd keys (and Tommy B is still there). Who is this guy?

4. What's the sginificance of the women in Most Beautiful Girl...? I remember reading there was a newspaper ad or something and each woman had a fantasy (i.e. the singer, the stand up comedienne). But isn't the last woman, the older, regal type woman, a real school teacher or something like that (Marva?) And what is her fantasy? A female President?

Anyway, just curious. It was interesting to see these videos. The HOF rocked and I'm excited about Prince again!

TheFrog

These are guesses.

1. It wasn't Diamond or Pearl ?

2. Sonny T ?

3. Mr Hayes ?

4. Fantasy story is what I heard too. They filmed people "fulfilling" their fantasies and then shot their reactions as they saw it played back to them on the screen.

Apologies in advance if i'm talking bullshit or perpetrating myths further.
