He should do some more print interviews with magazines. His publicist should get to work trying to get Prince a cover article in People or one of the big entertainment mags. He can also try to get an Ebony magazine cover. It's been 7 years since he was on the cover of Ebony. He likes 7 year cycles, so it's time for a new Ebony cover story wink

Thanx 4 the submission of this article squarepeg. It is very interesting, enlightening, & emotional. It makes one wonder if Prince is REALLY doing this tour with a heartfelt passion, as it covers mainly his older hits ( which I'm sure he LOVES dearly ), but has moved on from 2 the music such as TRC, NEWS, & MUSICOLOGY of 2day. I hope he plays MORE of his NEW music in THIS tour. This is what hes about 2day! This is the message he should convey 2 people NOW. The fact that he wept after the standing ovation of "little red corvette" was something I hope I dont have 2 witness, bcuz I feel I KNOW how HE feels, & its complicated and involves different emotions he is feeling, IMHO. However, 2 weep in front of his audience ( 2 me ) shows what a DEEP, CARING person he is. I wish HIM the best of luck on THIS tour with whatever he chooses 2 shout out 2 us, as I'm sure he has his reasons 4 EVERYTHING he does...Its a real adventure with the man.
May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love. hug kisses

All I can say is, Princw is AWESOME! He is doing what he believes in which is what he has always done in his life. Who can fault a man for that even if you dissagree with him. More power to him.

Anyway, since I'm finally posting, I might as well introduce myself. I'm a musician (guitarist, keyboardist, composer) from Mississippi by way of North Carolina, now living in Knoxville, TN, where I'm pursuing a Masters in music composition.

- Hey Zoot...welcome to the org! Do you have any samples of your music? smile

I haven't digitized any just yet. I've gotta admit I'm nervous about the whole thing of posting my music to Websites. Do you guys customarily do that? Even if I were to do it, I'd have to get it legally copyrighted first.

I do look forward to getting to know the musicians in the forum, though. Perhaps I could check out some our you guys' stuff and then I'll post some of mine accordingly. "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." biggrin

There are a few things you guys'll have to fill me in on, because I'm new to forums such as this one. I'm used to the listserv thing. Yeah, I know...that's so 20th century. razz

Thanks for welcoming me to the org, and I'm sorry it took me a minute to respond. I have to remember to make time to check my messages here.
