is Call My Name video taking too long?

shouldnt they have released this video by now? Musicology has been off of heavy rotation for a few weeks now....the question is now should they even keep going with the Call My Name single and video? the single was doing ok on Urban and Chr/Rhyth stations but has started to level off (its doing great at Urban AC tho) .my opinion is they should just leave Call My Name for the urban markets and release either Cinnamon Girl or A Million Days to top 40 and make a video for either one..Cinnamon Girl is doing pretty well on WXRT here in Chicago at #9.but whatever they do i hope they hurry up with some new video smile
Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

It should take no more than a week (if that) to edit the video, they're falling off schedule. Wonder what the hold up is? confused

Given his track record with videos (Musicology notwithstandidng) in the last decade, there's always a chance that the video just didn't turn out very well. And honestly, if it's not up to Sony's standards, I bet they just won't release it. Why risk ruining sthe album's slow-but-steady momentum?

nah, it's not taking too long at all. i wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see it until at least mid-july.

Kind of weird since we saw a snippet of the video on Access Hollywood last week. At the time of the interview, it appeared that it took 10 days for the video to be put together. Of what I saw briefly on TV looked like the finished product.

Maybe there is some final tweaking going on, some post-production work. But I am amazed at the quick turnaround as a teaseer slice of it aired on TV.

There could be multiple parts filmed...not just that scene alone.

The fact of the matter is that people here know about it waay in advance, so everybody wants to see it immediately, therefore it seems like a long time. Prince and Sony have a plan. I think it's fair to say at this point that the promotion of Musicology is not a fly-by-night operation. Somebody is sittin' back like Emperor Palpatine and saying; "everything is happening as I have foreseen".

well, I hate to compare apples 2 oranges, but MASE new song, "Welcome Back" debut on urban radio during the same week (with more airplay) as "Call My Name" and I have not seen a video for MASE single either..
