Any "Short Jazz Film Musicals" Fanatics In Here?

I have lot of those in my closet, I love collecting 'em. Got 10 so far(my faves are "Rhapsody In Black W/Duke Ellington & Billie Holiday" & "St.Louis Bluse W/Bessie Smith").

Even tho they're soo low-budget, their sense of intimacy is timeless.

So, b4 I talk more about them. Any fans?

Make me one.

Where can I apply?

I have seen parts of Billie in some movie, she played a, what a surprise, maid.

There was this great BBC ducumentary about being black and black awareness addressing this. I wish I had it on DVD. Great view.

You mean the movie "New Orleans" where she played alongside Louis Armstrong.

No, I ment a short movie she did in 1933 featuring Duke Ellington and his band called "Rhapsody In Black". You can see it in the dvd "Hollywood Rhythm" which features 10 short movies consisted of Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller & alot more.

Trust me, u need this DVD in your life nod
