I bet that most of you don't remember this song,but it is my favorite song by Rod Stewart.It's called "Baby Jane" and it's from 1983.The video was all over MTV,but I don't think the song ever became a big hit.When I mention it to people,they never seem to know what I'm talking about,lol.It's a really cool midtempo pop/rock track with a wonderful chorus.

Yeah right! I wish I was young enough not to remember this song! I think it was actually 1984 because I always remember Baby Jane and When Doves Cry being played incessantly throughout that summer. Good song, but probably not a favourite with many people either because it's one of his more poppy ones, or else (like me) people are sick to death of it. As much as I (casually) dig a few of his songs from the '70s ("Infatuation," "Passion," "Young Turks"), it's the Rod Stewart from the Every Picture Tells A Story album that sounds vastly more interesting. After that album his music completely changed. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |
