Sorry to admit that while flipping past BET at night, I've had the misfortune of seeing Nelly slide a credit card down a girl's ass in the horrendous Tip Drill video.


As bad as that was, he now tells Allhiphop.com that he will now expand it as an adult video. WTF

I used to be a Nelly fan, but I refused to buy Suit/Sweat and will fully boycott him if he releases an adult video.


To think I used to believe that boy had talent.

Nelly Defends 'Tip Drill' Video

Nelly is brushing off critics of his video “Tip Drill,” and is planning on producing a full-length adult movie based around the song and video.

The original video, which aired on BET’s UnCut late night video show, came under fire from various African-American groups and women on college campuses across the nation for it’s portrayal of women.

“We [are] not trying to put it into a prospective where we demoralize women,” Nelly told AllHipHop.com. “It was strictly adult entertainment; it wasn’t to try to demoralize women.”

The chart topping rapper said his video wasn’t a far stretch from the imagery in Beyonce’s hit video “Crazy in Love” or Toni Braxton’s 1996 hit video, “Your Makin’ Me High,” where Braxton and her girlfriends judge men as an elevator door opens.

And while he defended his video, he was clear that it should be kept from children.

“The ‘Tip Drill’ video was made for a program that came on at 3:00 am, when kids should be in bed,” the rapper reasoned. “Entertainers get a bad rap. It’s easier to blame us for you not raising your kids and being involved in your kid’s life.”

Nelly’s latest two albums Sweat & Suit are currently in the Top 10 on Billboard’s pop charts.

What's even more shocking: BET is STILL rotating this video amidst months of protests. Is their viewership to blame or the network? I'm not a Nelly supporter nor have I ever been. I was going just last year when he had the gall to release, promote and defend a beverage called "Pimp Juice," then have the nerve to say someone's "knocking his hustle" once parents of inner-city children began expostulating.

Nelly and all involved deserve to be lambasted for this.

Nelly has kids himself. So with him being the famous person that he is...how is he truely involved in his kid's life? Same with every other high profile celebrity with kids. It's impossible to be there for them like the average father. As far as the tip drill video goes....I despise it. But it's Nelly.....what can you expect.

Another thing about the video....those women don't represent me at all. So I'm not holding Nelly responsible for "degrading" women....they're degrading themselves.

The more of this the better if you ask me. "Tip Drill" is the all-time booty epic so I can't see where it could go wrong. Along with "Booty Poppin'", I've gotten endless hours of discussion and entertainment with these. Plus, I almost made Stymie spit her dinner across the room. How can you not love that? It's not even about what is appropriate for children to view at a certain hour, it is about what is acceptable for modern values and how we treat women as people and not objects. Full-grown adults are rejecting Nelly's idea of a woman's ass being a debit machine.

"Tip Drill" is a horrible video, in my opinion, but just as someone earlier has stated, Nelly is not demoralizing these women. I'm sure they had a choice and they chose to be in this video with a thong.....if that. You can't really blame him, it's entertainment and some people actually find it entertaining.....Just as men go to tittie bars.....men watch "UNcut".....Men will buy the adult video as well

BET seems to show it every night on UNcut. I watch it every time. I press the mute button (don't even know what the song sounds like - not a Nelly fan) but I watch it, nonetheless

There are some women who see this (being in one of those videos) as a badge of honor. Same for appearing in pornos. (Jenna Jameson anyone?) Sad but true. Nelly's endorsing this doesn't help, but he's not the only one to blame.

Some nights, the "Girls Gone Wild" infomercial comes on after UNcut...

I just watched it.

I liked it. It was fun.

If BET are only showing this after hours I don't see what the problem is at all.

That Tip Drill video is heinous. But, I am not mad at those women who dance in the video. Hell, "ho's gotta eat too." Don't blame the women or Nelly. They are just doing what sells. Blame society.
