FLASHBACK 1984....BREAKIN' "THere's No Stopping Us"

Anyone else a fan of this song? (Or the movie?)

Song: Breakin’...There’s No Stopping Us ~~ 1984 ~~ 6:51
Artist: Ollie & Jerry

{Do it}
{Hold on}

Out in the street
You don’t survive by being weak
This is our time
Walls were made for us to climb

Don’t you try to lock us out
Cause we’re breakin’ down the doors
And all we’re prepared to fight
Yeah, yeah

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better {No one does it better}
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter

Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na

Long overdue
No playin’ game or being used
Something to prove
It’s more than just a dream come true

We have waited far too long
For this moment to arrive
Hey, hey

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better {No one does it better}
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter (We’re on the move)

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better (No one does it better than me and you)
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter

{Do it}
{Do it}
{Do it}
{Breakdance}
{Do it}
{Can you breakdance}

We have waited for too long
For this moment to arrive
Hey, hey

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better

Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better (No...one)
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter (We’re on the move)

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better {Do it}
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter {Do it}

{No stoppin’}
{No stoppin’}

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better {Do it}
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter {Do it}

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better (No one does it better)
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better

There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
No one does it better {Do it} (We’re gonna survive)
There’s no stoppin’ us {No stoppin’}
Really doesn’t matter

There’s no stoppin’ us

There's a 'ghost' in Michael Jackson's short film Ghosts that reminded me of Shabba Doo even with make up on. The way he pop locks out the wall I always wondered if it was him after all these years but never bothered to read the credits.

It's the sequel (well, rather it's subtitle) that has become immortal:

mad Ain't Nobody, even though it wasn't for the soundtrack, per se. I stiiiiill can't believe the first soundtrack didn't include Tour de France or Ice T's rap over the Beatbox track. Total let down.

I have a friend who is big into b-boying (break dancing) and he said that both turbo and ozone got into drugs pretty bad. They both still dance and ozone has a studio in L.A. Turbo (who is credited for inventing the moonwalk a.k.a the glide) stillhas his moves.

I always like the song at the end of the movie called street people

'Beat Street' is one of my favorite films boxed

I never really got into the 'Breakin' movies,I thought they were cheesy and silly.But I dig the theme song "There's No Stoppin Us".Reminds me of the summer of 1984.

I love the song and also some of the other songs from the soundtrack such as "Reckless" by Chris "The Glove" Taylor & David Storrs and my favorite is a "Shannon sounding" song called "99 1/2" by Carol Lynn Townes.

As for the movie, I haven't seen the first one but I did see the second one and thought it was simply "OK". I still want to see the first one.
Andy is a four letter word.

In 1987,Madonna asked Shabbo-Doo to choreograph her 'Who's That Girl' tour,and he also appears as a dancer on that tour.Unfortunately,the choreography on that tour is atrocious disbelief

No Shabba was one of the Poppers from why back in the day. You can catch him in the WattsStack movie. Toni Basil and Ron Re-Run Barry were in the Poppers as well.
