Those two videos have nothing on the video for Candy Man. That video is hysterical! It's not up on youtube though.

Too bad the "Boys" video doesn't include the spoken part of the song,when they go out to a nightclub looking for guys.They could have had alot of fun filming a scene for that...

***The girls opened for Rick James on his 1983 "Cold Blooded" tour.When the tour was over,Cheri (who sings lead on their hit "Jealousy") left the group.In 1984,she auditioned to become a member of Shalamar,replacing Jody Watley.Alas,she didn't get the gig.

***In late 1986,the girls went back into the studio with Rick James to record their third album.It was titled 'Conversation'.Songs included the title track and a remake of the old 60s hit "Walk Like A Man".Unfortunately,Rick went to war with Motown around this time and a "tug-of-war" situation occured.Rick was preparing to leave the label and wanted to take The Mary Jane Girls with him.For their part,Motown wanted to keep the girls and pair them up with super-hot producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.In the end,the group broke up and the 'Conversation' album was never released.
