In this order:
1. Big Brother and the Holding Co
2. Kozmic Bluez Band
3. Full Tilt Boogie Band (to be honest, I do not know much about them.....)

I met her once in Jacksonville, FL when she was a quasi-nobody....and she was eff-ed up even way back then.....sad, really.

cool

I think Big Brother & the Holding Company was the most dynamic and had the most interesting talents, but really...and I know this may come off as sacrilege...Janis is Janis is Janis to me. I like all her recordings, no matter what band she was with.

Cheap Thrills is exactly why I put Big Brother and the Holding Company first on my priority list...

Big Brother and the Holding Co. is my favourite.

But strictly speaking of the band's name, Full Tilt Boogie Band wins me over. What a fun name. smile

nod co-sign.

after everything i've read about her, good and bad, i've always said that if i could choose to spend a day with any public figure, dead or alive, it would be janis. every time i see footage of her, i just adore her. anyone seen the "dick cavett rock legends" DVDs? one whole disc is dedicated to her - REALLY good stuff.
