Born in Detroit,I am proud to say that I was a "Motown Kid" lol As a kid,I used to hear this album all the time.My mother played it to death! This was the Temptations's first album and it features the major hit "The Way You Do The Things You Do",but it's the last three tracks that really hooked me: "Check Yourself","Slow Down Heart" and "Farewell My Love"....this is 60s Motown soul at it's BEST!!

Who remembers this classic album?

The whole album is classic, as is the lineup. There's somethin' about David Ruffin's voice and that Benny Benjamin backbeat that's timeless...

I recently fell in love with another one of their gems, "Angel Doll".
