James Brown says: "Let a Man Come in and Do the Popcorn" This an an underrated and forgotten James Brown hit. It actually charted twice on the charts in the top 40 section (both Parts 1 and 2). Was part of his "Popcorn" era of 69-70.
This Ya Boy from that H-Town

James Brown topics make me sad with all the shit that's going on. I'm sure he doesn't deserve to be treated so bad after his death. It's just awful. 'music combining elements of jazz, blues, and soul and characterized by syncopated rhythm and a heavy, repetitive bass line' = Funk!

Underrated and forgotten by who?
"People used to attack me and say it was a conflict of interest: I was the manager, I was the record company, I was the publisher, and I would say, Yes, of course, conflict of interest, but it’s in their favor, you stupid fuck." - Berry Gordy

Not me!!! 4 real Always knew about this tune.. Those horns are just killing it!!! It's all in the tight groove...Aerosmith attempted this song in the 70s on a live cd but failed to lock into that JB groove... Just love James and the Band...the music sounds as good today as when it was written...
